Launched in April 2018, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). It brings together seven disciplinary research councils plus Research England and Innovate UK.

I have supported the design teams at Medical Research Council (MRC) since 2010 and UKRI since 2018. This has included a wide range of design projects including policy and strategic reports, annual reports, magazines, event and public engagement materials, brand development, illustration and infographics.

Reports, including annual reports, often range between 80-120 pages and can include charts, diagrams and infographics. Printed annual reports often face strict deadlines if they are to be laid before Parliament. Additionally, all digital PDFs must comply with government web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).
