Vindow
Brand refresh
Vindow is an online platform for hoteliers and group hotel accommodation buyers. It is the only website offering full transparency in the proposal and bid process for all parties.
Following a client recommendation, I was asked to review and revise the branding. Founded a few years ago, Vindow had a simple, legible logo that didn’t need changing, but the supporting brand lacked the same sophistication. The website was well-structured and easy to navigate, but it was hard to distinguish sections for buyers or suppliers since every page looked visually similar, differing only in copy.
I revised the primary palette’s colour values to align between print and digital and expanded the palette with secondary colours. I proposed new typefaces that avoided costly licences and suggested alternative image and graphic styles. The client chose photography, which helped define market segmentation with easily identifiable images.
Drawing from their strapline, “Transparency leads to trust,” I integrated the transparency theme into the homepage with an interactive hero image revealing hotel data analysis. Gradient circles, echoing the ‘o’ in the logo, extend this theme throughout the site. While the website structure remained intact, each section now has a clear identity.
The updated branding was applied to all marketing materials. The client wanted to continue creating their own social media posts and pitch decks, so I provided templates and guidance.
