Rosebery Housing

Website redesign

Rosebery Housing owns more than 2,700 affordable homes across Surrey and West Sussex, ranging from one-bedroom flats to four-bedroom family homes.

Rosebery’s website had been built by another agency before I began working with them in 2015. After the brand review, the design was simplified, but the overall site lacked a coherent hierarchy which resulted in a poor user experience. The homepage had several menus, excessive buttons and a visually complex slider.

Further iterations and simplifications followed but the in-house content team faced access limitations and increased costs from the incumbent agency.

In 2022, I was asked to create some visuals to support the case for a rebuild. The design was well-received by the leadership team and it was considered possible to redesign the site within the existing framework. The work was carried out in collaboration with another external developer.
