Central YMCA/APPG

Reflections on body image

Central YMCA is the world’s first YMCA and a leading UK health, education and well-being charity, dedicated to helping people lead happier, healthier and more fulfilled lives. They collaborated with the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Body Image to explore societal perceptions and implications of body image, resulting in an 80-page report.

As part of the report, I designed two mock ‘adverts’ mimicking the style of cosmetic surgery and body enhancement advertising.

Published in print and online, the report gained widespread media coverage, featuring in all major UK newspapers, as well as BBC and ITV news. It has played a key role in shaping government policy and campaigns like ‘Be Real’.
