Colour guides

It should go without saying that as a designer I love using colour (although get me to wear any colour other than black and I start to twitch).

Researchers estimate that the average healthy human eye can detect approximately 1 million unique colours of the visible spectrum. That’s a huge choice. So where do you start if you’re picking colours for your brand or design?

Over the next few weeks I will examine various aspects on the theme of colour in design. As an overview, I’ve created a free mini guide that’s available to download. It covers colour psychology, using colour theory to pick a brand palette, and how to ensure colours are as accessible as possible.

It’s completely free to access. Yes, completely free – no email sign-up or subscription needed. I’ll be adding further guides over the next few months.
